About chinese soups
Like many Singaporean Chinese, I grew up with chinese soups at the dining table. It is such a common sight that for many years chinese soups were just part of the meal. Nothing special. When I am younger, I enjoyed food that are fried, oilier and saltier. As I grew older, I am more appreciative of chinese soups. Not only do they taste great, they are beneficial to health. They have more nutrients, less oil, less salt, and are easier on the digestive system. Now I have chinese soups whenever I am home for dinner because my beloved grandmother makes them for me. You can say I've rediscovered the magic of homemade chinese soups. I'm not the only one who love chinese soups, many of my friends are simply crazy about chinese soups. I'm quite sure all their mums (even those who aren't great in the kitchen) can make a few yummy chinese soups. This is because they are really not that difficult to make. One of the reasons I created this website on homemade chinese soups is to share what I have experienced and learn about chinese soups. I enjoy chinese soups and hope many other people would to. I know many people are interested in chinese food but are unfamiliar with chinese ingredients and chinese cooking tools. Let me be your guide with this website. About building a websiteThe other reason for creating this website is that I hope it will liberate me from having to work for money.Don't get me wrong. I like what I am doing at my workplace, but I don't want to be doing it for money. Not in the long run. Despite all the negative hype about internet marketing, I believe it is possible to make honest money online. And I believe it is possible for an individual like me with little financial backing and Internet knowledge to do that. When my friends saw my website, they were very surprised that I could set up something so neat. Yet, it is not me. It is the system that I have chosen to build my site with. It is known as Site Build it. Site Build It! assumes I know nothing about building an online business (which is quite true). It provides:
It is a simple honest process. It is not a quick system. It takes time to create valuable content, create credibility and build trust. This approach and philosophy resonates with me and the way I want to break free from the rat race. I've experienced different internet schemes. Usually, I end up with a duplicate or replicate website which search engines ignore and I have to advertise like mad through word of mouth or spend money to buy google adwords. And I'm not very good at that. Not so with Site Build it. This is not the first website I built using Site Build it. My first site was up in Jan 2006 and by Nov 2007, it had more than 35,000 visitors. It is also highly ranked (within 1st page) by Google. And the visitorship per day is growing strong. I'm enjoying the process of learning how to build a website that makes money. In fact, I've already made some money from my first site. Not a lot, but it is nice to know I'm being paid for learning. I really believe I can spend most of my time doing what I really like. And I want to create something that has lasting value, something that send a positive vibe into cyberspace.
