This cabbage soup recipe is suitable for people who are having the flu or cold. It is sparse but you can add some carrot or onion to the mix if you want some colour and sweetness.

Add some fish or chicken fillet if you want some extra protein. Add some silken tofu if you want to keep this a vegetarian soup.
Ingredients120g round cabbage
10g ginger
1 stalk spring onion
1 litre of clear soup stock
Directions
- Clean the cabbage and cut into pieces
- Cut the ginger and spring onion into small sections
- Place all the ingredients into a stock pot
- Bring to a boil and lower to medium heat
- Cook till cabbage is soft
- Add salt and pepper to season
